Maximilian Joseph Leidesdorf (, born on July 5th, 1787 in Vienna, died on September 27th, 1840 in Florence). It was the son of the wholesaler Joseph Leidesdorf. It had lessons at Albrechtsberger, Salieri and E.A Forest warden. In addition, he studied the piano and guitar and 1803 published his op. 1 in Vienna where he lived as respected pianist, piano and guitars teachers. With Ignaz Sauer he founded 1822 a music  publishing house and was the sole owner as of May 9th, 1827; his rights changed to about 1835 to Diabelli. He went 1827 to Florence where he was appointed court and chamber virtuoso by the grand duke of Tuscany. There he was still a professor besides that at the conservatory and remained until his death in Florence.

Sonate  for Piano and Horn or Violoncello

The Sonata in E major, was published by Sauer & Leidesdorf published in December 1823 with the plate number 697
 As a composer are "Bellonci & Leidesdorf" called.
Camillo Bellonci came around 1781 in Italy at the world, seems to have acquired his musical training in France and Germany. In the literature it is detected with very different spellings (Belonci, Bellunghi, Belouci). Bellonci 1811 called for the first time, when he played for the wedding celebrations of the daughter of Prince Lobkowicz occurs in the Bohemian Raudnitz.
 In April 1818 we find in the "Allgemeine musikalische Zeitung," a reference to a concert on 25 March 1818 at the Vienna Court Theater on Karntnertor. There, Mr Bellonci "Variations for piano and French Horn" by MJ Leidesdorf together with the pianist J. Preisinger with great success.
The Ziegler's Vienna address book called a horn player with the 1822 Bellonci Kärntnerthortheater and Hofballorchester. After 1823, the lose track of Bellonci.
For the present edition two sources were used, the above-mentioned pressure and a later edition of "Sonata / pour / cello & piano / compose / par MJ Leidesdorf / Oeuvre 164", published after 1827 in the publishing Leidesdorf in Vienna. The piano part is identical to the first edition, the solo part of the cello has the number plate A697 Bellonci is no longer mentioned here, which generally speaks for a more consultative role Belloncis in this sonata.
