5 Divertimenti for 2 oboes, 2 horns and bassoon (SWV D I/13 -17)
3. Series
- first edition-
The 6 Divertimenti edited here for the first time originate from the quite extensive estate of Sperger, kept in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern library.
The pieces were created in 1780 and were probably as an outdoor music for the park he designed archbishop's summer residence in Bratislava. The Divertimento DI/12 (ROM 283) found in a second copy in the Hungarian National Library in Budapest, where it forms a unit with the Divertimenti DI / 13 - 17
The works were assigned to the thematic Sperger inventory of Adolf Meier (Michaelstein / Blankenburg, 1990).
The individual works have no title or a common heading in the autograph. 2 oboes are noted in the autograph, the catalogue however wrotes "Clarinetto Parthia oder Oboe Parthia", so that 2 clarinets would also be possible.
