Complete arrangement for wind quintet and narrator by Robert Ostermeyer
Everyone knows this musical fairy tale. The arrangement for flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon follows the original almost exactly, with 609 bars as in the original score.
Kindly authorized by Sikorski Music Publishers, this edition has enjoyed worldwide popularity since its publication in 1999. It has been performed, among others, by the Esbjerg Ensemble in Denmark and by the Leipzig Gewandhaus Wind Quintet, which included it in a subscription concert during the 2001/2002 season, as well as by many other ensembles. Together with Saint-Saëns' "The Carnival of the Animals", "Peter and the Wolf" is one of the most popular pieces for children's concerts.
Note: The clarinet part is written for clarinet in A!
