The most extensive source for horn music from the first half of the 18th century is a handwritten collection of the Academic Chapel, today held at the University Library in Lund, Sweden. Many of the composers represented in it were connected in one way or another to the Dresden court, and it is possible that the copyist was a horn player who had visited that city.
The Wenster Collection contains 18 concertos for horn – not 17, as is sometimes claimed.

No. 6 (Anonymous): Concerto ex E major for horn, oboe d'amore and basso
Some scholars attribute this trio to Karl Heinrich Graun; a further copy of the work exists in Brussels. In the Lund collection, however, the name Graun is noted only above No. 7 – No. 6 itself carries no attribution. The Brussels copy has only three movements, while the Lund source comprises four.
