Agostino Belloli (1778–1839)
The exact life dates of Agostino Belloli cannot be determined precisely. In the first half of the 19th century he worked in Milan as 1st horn of the Teatro alla Scala and as a teacher at the Conservatory. He was probably related to Luigi Belloli (1770–1817), who likewise worked at La Scala in Milan and taught at the Conservatory.
12 Etudes for Horn
The work was published by Breitkopf & Härtel in 1828; according to the title page, it was dedicated to the students of the Imperial-Royal Conservatory in Milan.
In 1970, VEB Friedrich Hofmeister published 6 etudes from this collection, edited by Peter Damm.
Here now are the complete 12 etudes, based on the Breitkopf edition of 1828. A copy of this print is held by the Leipzig library.
